Larringes

The castle is an old fortified house built in the 10th century on Roman ruins. Then, it was rebuilt in the 14th century and remodeled at the end of the 19th century. Its incomparable view, from the Bernese Alps to Fort l'Ecluse, from the Monts du Jura to Mont-Blanc over a radius of more than 100 km made it a real strategic place.
The castle belonged successively to the Count of Allinges, to the Counts of Savoy then to the families Lavanchy, Détraz, Franlieu and finally Stoutz, current owners.

The castle is in the form of a quadrangular enclosure originally ditched.

It is private property. It can not be visited.
