La Chapelle d'Abondance
The "Maison des Sœurs" (Holy sisters'house) presents the Abondance valley !
Built in the heart of the village for the nuns of Charity who were in charge of the young girls education and caring the sick persons, the "Maison des Sœurs" now houses a temporary exhibition room.
Temporary exhibition : "Chapellement... vôtre" : there is what is visible and what appears before our eyes, material and realistic, and there is what feels, more intimate.
This exhibition centered on the village of La Chapelle d'Abondance presents a village described by the eyes and hands of artists who perceived the place with their emotions and artistic practices.
Writers, chroniclers, painters, designers, photographers and sculptors have explored their feelings to express their vision of the village and its inhabitants. .
