Bordering Lake Léman, Evian benefits from an exceptional natural environment, which has earned the town world renown as a tourist resort. The town makes the most of its unique setting by pursuing a policy of top-quality landscaping and urban cleanliness, and by protecting the surrounding natural areas. The town enjoyed particularly rapid development during the first half of the 20th century. World-famous for its pure, natural spring water, Evian has managed to preserve and highlight part of its historic architectural heritage and offers visitors the image of a welcoming, dynamic town.

Activities & sightseeing

The Palais Lumière (former thermal baths reconverted into a cultural and conference centre) has recently become once again the heart of the resort, which tends to position itself as an important cultural centre for the Léman region. Recent, internationally famous exhibitions are evidence of this ambition: Ernest-Pignon-Ernest, the La Ruche artists, Rodin, etc.

Evian is also the ideal destination for business seminars and conferences, thanks to its first-rate hospitality infrastructure (4- and 5-star hotels, meeting and conference rooms, etc.).
