Fruitière La ChapelleThe dairy cooperative, located in La Chapelle d'Abondance was created in 1924. In 2008/2009, an agreement between the company "Cie Fromagère & Paysanne" and the cooperative allowed this beautiful mountain cheese factory to be renovated and start again the artisanal production stopped since many decades.
Several cheeses with designation of origin are made in this workshop: Abondance, Tomme de Savoie, Raclette de Savoie ; also fresh butter, summer cheese "Dandelion", Tommes and Tomettes "Charlotte".
In tourist season, visits Tuesday and Thursday at 11am. Mandatory reservation. Paying from 5 years old.
